Thomas Strachan is the founding attorney at Strachan Law. He is a skilled advocate, negotiator, and corporate law specialist with more than twenty years of diversified experience providing expert counsel and directing policy on a broad range of legal, business, and compliance issues. He has a demonstrated expertise in business law, commercial contract negotiations, and risk assessment/insulation.
Thomas has been continuously recognized by business managers for his proven ability to design and facilitate legal processes resulting in record-breaking business growth. He has a proven track record of exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Thomas uses his diverse contract experience to help small businesses proactively grow and manage their risk. He believes listening is the key to understanding and finding solutions. And, as an attorney supporting businesses with their contracts, Thomas understands the importance of having the right strategy to move the contract negotiations process to closure as quickly as possible.
Thomas is also an adjunct professor of Business Law at the University of Houston, where he has served for the past twenty years. He has been consistently recognized as an exceptional professor of Business Law by the University of Houston in all categories of university and student reviews, and he has been nominated for Adjunct Professor of the Year honors. Thomas is also a guest lecturer at the University of Houston Law Center.
Thomas received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Temple University, and his J.D., cum laude, from South Texas College of Law, where he also served on the South Texas Law Review as an assistant editor. Thomas is an active member of the State Bar of Texas and is a participant in panel discussions sponsored by the Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Association of Corporate Counsel, addressing important business topics.
On a personal level, Thomas enjoys spending time with family and friends, and he is an avid runner.
